People´s Kitchen Tromsø!

People’s Kitchen Tromsø was a social art project that ran from 2014-2022 by Liv Bangsund. Every year, every citizen in Norway throws away 46 kilos of food. In total the country throw more than 300 000 tons of food that could have been eaten. Food waste is an unnecessary source of pollution that contributes to global warming and climate change.
People´s Kitchen Tromsø’s solution to this problem was to create social meeting places where we gathered to discuss and learn about food waste while we cooked food that otherwise would have been thrown away.
